Madhi Masjid
Madhi Masjid is located in the Archaeological Survey Park, on the western side of the Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, about 500 metres south of the Jamali Kamali mosque.

Madhi Masjid is an architecturally different mosque as it has the features of an open wall-mosque as well as a covered mosque. Colored tiles have been used for decorating the flat-roofed chambers with arched openings on either side of the three central bays on the walls of the mosque. Strong walls enclose the courtyard with turrets in each corner giving the mosque the appearance of a miniature fortress. This supports the view that the mosque served the purpose of both as a place of worship and was a watchtower to keep a tab on the movements of an alien army.

The mosque also has an imposing gateway on the eastern side. It was built of gray stone in the Hindu style of architecture. This domed square gateway looks elegant with its two projecting windows of red stone. However, the period in which this impressive structure was constructed and by whom is unknown. Some historians are of the view that it belongs to the Lodi period while others say that it was built in the early Mughal period. Whatever may be the truth, visiting Madhi Masjid is certainly an interesting venture.
